Atletico Madrid vs Chelsea
The first leg ended 0-0 which on paper is a bad result for Atletico to take to Stamford bridge. Chelsea who should be playing less defensive football in front of the home crowd will still need a big performance to knock out the Spanish league leaders. Diego Simeone had his side play pretty football to take down Chelsea and take a lead into the second leg, which ultimately failed as the rock solid Chelsea back line proved hard to break down. On the other hand Jose Mourinho had Chelsea sit back and was happy to be level going into the second leg with home support on their side and their superb home record under Jose as the blues boss. With everything to play for we can expect a cracker of a second leg.
My prediction Chelsea 2 Atletico Madrid 1
Bayern Munich vs Real Madrid
Even with all of Bayern's possession in the Santiago Bernabéu, Real came out with a slender 1-0 win, even with a miss firing Ronaldo and an unfit Bale. The German champions will no doubt treat us to a footballing masterclass in the Alianz on Tuesday and Guardiola will be thinking that 1-0 isn't so bad to be down by with 90 minutes left to play. Ancelotti should be pleased with the scrappy 1-0 win for his counter attacking Real team and will fancy his chances on the counter with Bale and Ronaldo on the field. Guardiola will set up obviously to pass the ball and prise Real open at the back like he did so succesfully at Barcelona but I wouldn't be suprised if Ancelotti followed in Mourinho's footsteps and sit back and absorb the pressure and pick off Bayern on the counter.
My Prediction Bayern Munich 1 Real Madrid 2
