In the second part of this preview we will be talking about: Crystal Palace, Everton, Hull and Leicester.
Crystal Palace- After a stunning second part to last season under Tony Pulis, Palace fans will be happy with more of the same. Though to keep up with the competition Palace will need to dip into the transfer market. They will need more creative spark in their side as last season they played like a classic Pulis team and defended and hit sides on the counter. Their fantastic fans deserve to see some attempt at proper football. Youth and vibrancy could fill this void. A good sort of player could be regaining young Manchester United winger, Wilfred Zaha, on a loan deal as Van Gaal is unlikely to have him in his immediate plans. Another smart signing could be Aston Villa's Fabian Delph, a young midfielder with a sporadic spark of creativity. He could also be brought in relatively cheaply.
Everton- After an exciting and successful season with Roberto Martinez, Everton nearly gained Champions League football. Their squad will need to be bolstered for Europa League participation next season as many sides have struggled balancing Europa League on a Thursday and Premier League on a Sunday. If they are able to take Romelu Lukaku back on loan or permanently then they should jump at the opportunity but if Chelsea are unwilling to send him back to Everton then another striker is definitely necessary. Swansea striker Wilfried Bony, who is heavily linked with a move away from the club, with his 16 goals last season as Swansea struggled would be perfect for a replacement for Lukaku and could link up with Kone as well.
Hull- After a great season last time out Hull City secured Europa League football for this coming season. This could be a blessing or a curse as in previous seasons when lower down clubs have got Europa League they have struggled with balancing the two. So to succeed they need to make their squad large enough for rotation as then the players will remain fit for both competitions. The signing of Tom Ince looks a good move as the young winger will look to show his talent for international call ups and Hull have a fantastic and skill full winger to bamboozle opposition defences. To make their side even more competitive they will need a strong goalkeeper behind the defence. McGregor had a good season last time but they will need somebody else to help keep him fit or replace him in case of injury. A good replacement would be Cardiff goalkeeper, David Marshall, who was fantastic last season, even making it into team of the season. He would be a superb signing between the sticks and would help them a long way to competing on all fronts.
Leicester- A brilliant year that finally paid back the owners investment to promote them to the Premier League. After finishing top Leicester will need to continue pushing if they are to stay in the Premier League. They also will need to add some Premiership quality to their squad. They are going to need to improve at the back by feasting off of the sides who were just relegated. Fulham's Brede Hangeland would be an important signing to add experience and quality to their side. Also Norwich centre back Sebastian Bassong would be a good acquisition as despite his youth he has also played in the Premier League for a long time and showed his quality when necessary.
